Hello!! I’m (finally!) re-emerging today after many, many days and weeks of my head being buried into my computer. If you’re here and reading this lovely little post, you may have noticed some changes. :) I decided to do a little (okay, a lot) of renovation to the website…so, let me tell you all about my journey and where I’ve been for the past few weeks…

I decided a few months ago to step up my website and with a little encouraging from outside sources, I realized that I needed to wrangle my products in and sell them myself. Like many artists, I relied on Etsy and although I LOVE Etsy (and will continue to keep my shop open!) I wanted to make some improvements and changes that weren’t available. And because I love a good challenge, I decided that I was going to take this on myself…yep, all.by.myself. Oh, and did I mention I have little to no computer website knowledge? Gulp…

So came down the old website and voila! 4 weeks later, I have a brand new website! …if it were only that easy. There was some cursing (okay maybe a lot of cursing) but what I learned from it was invaluable. I dove into photoshop, html (eek!) and some coding (double eek!) and I came out alive on the other end…Here’s a before and after glance at the changes…

The words I keep repeating to myself and ultimately drove the design was “fresh” and “clean” (insert Outkast song here…). The old website was a little muddy and didn’t reflect the overall style of White Nest. The new improved is a lot cleaner and well, more fresh…

And you may have also noticed a S-A-L-E on the front page! Yep, EVERYTHING is 20% off until May 15th. Call it the new-website-launch-spring-and-mother’s-day-sale! And keep coming back…I’ll be posting more products and hopefully new collections soon!
